Q Mharc Gnó le Gaeilge
The Q-Mharc Gnó le Gaeilge award system acknowledges business organisations that evaluate, develop and capitalize on the use of the Irish language as an additional business and marketing tool. The Q-Mharc Gnó le Gaeilge award signifies awareness of and commitment to bilingualism in business and culture through language, enhancing indigenous characteristics or ‘Irishness’. It also displays market leadership in innovative customer service provision. Any business organisation which meets the award criteria as defined in the Q-Mharc Gnó le Gaeilge Standard will be awarded the certification mark.

Gradaim - Recognition of Irish Language in Business
Run by Glór na nGael, the GRADAIM recognition scheme is open to commercial businesses, sole traders, retailers and wholesalers. Community organisations with the main aim of promoting the Irish language are eligible to enter the annual Glór na nGael competition, however groups registered as a company are eligible to apply to the GRADAIM scheme. GRADAIM is a voluntary scheme and therefore state bodies with legislative responsibilities to the Irish language are not eligible.
334 businesses have received recognition to date, and they are all listed in the GRADAIM Businesses Directory. A GRADAIM plaque indicates to the public that your business has made great strides in regard to the promotion of Irish, between signage, marketing & branding, and service in Irish.

Foras na Gaeilge provides a wide range of general supporting resources in relation to increasing the visibility of the Irish language in the business environment that are available individually or in the form of a business package.
