Glór na nGael has a responsibility in three main areas of work: developing the Irish language in the family, among community group and the development of the language in the business sector.
Conradh na Gaeilge
Awareness raising, language protection and advocacy
Conradh na Gaeilge is a democratic forum for the Irish language community which works to represent the Irish speaking and Gaeltacht community in Ireland and around the world.
Education in the English-medium sector and for adults, opportunities for using for school students to use the Irish language.
Gael Linn’s events programme covers three main areas: the education sector, events to support the use of the Irish language and the business element of the organisation.
Cumann na bhFiann
Developing opportunities for young people to use the Irish language
The main aim of Cumann na bhFiann is to provide opportunities for young people to use the Irish language outside of school. This helps to create Irish language habits and to use the language on a social basis.
Irish-medium education, immersion education and Irish-medium pre-school education
Gaeloideachas is an organisation which supports Irish-medium education – pre-school, primary school and secondary school levels outside of the Gaeltacht.
Creating opportunities to support the use of the Irish language and to establish networks.
Oireachtas na Gaeilge organises the largest annual Irish language festival, Oireachtas na Samhna, in addition to an annual literary award, communication and media awards and much more.
