As the Irish language Planning Conference will primarily be through the medium of Irish, with the exception of talks from our International speakers, who will give their talks through English, simultaneous translation from Irish to English and English to Irish will be provided. There will be an opportunity for questions and answers at the end of each panel, once each of the guest speakers have presented their talk.
To avail of the simultaneous translation, we ask that you read and take the following steps below before attending the event.
- On your mobile phone, download the Telegram app. It is available through the App Store for Apple devices and Google Play on Android.
- Join the public channel, through which the translation service will be available. You can acccess the channel through this link or QR code below.
- It is essential to bring your own headphones which are compatible with your phone to the event. Headphones will not be provided. Please ensure your phone is sufficiently charged for use over the two days of the conference.
- On arrival to Croke Park, join the venue’s wifi.
- Following the steps above will ensure you have access to the simultaneous translation. We will also have staff available on the day who can provide assistance.
