Former Minister of the Gaeltacht Éamon Ó Cuív discussed the language planning process at an interview with Language Planning Co-ordinator Ursula Ní Shabhaois at Oireachtas na Samhna in Belfast. Éamon Ó Cuív is regarded as one of the architects of the language planning process, and it was during his tenure as Minister of the Gaeltacht that the Gaeltacht Act 2012 was enacted.

During the interview, Éamon Ó Cuív spoke about the background to the language planning process and the vision that existed while introducing the structures that currently exist.
