Ballinrobe as a population of 2,786 and is located in County Mayo.
A language plan is currently being drafted for the town. Gnó Mhaigh Eo was appointed as lead organisation for the langauge planning process in Ballinrobe at the beginning of 2022 along with a local language planning steering committee, Baile an Róba le Gaeilge. These organisations are working together to assess public opinions and to put together a comprehensive language plan for the town.
