Join us for the second international conference on language planning in Ireland, which will take place on Thursday 12th November in Treacy’s West County Hotel in Ennis, County Clare.
Practitioners, researchers, policy makers and many others from the Irish-speaking community will come together in Ennis, County Clare, for the second international conference on language planning, organised by Foras na Gaeilge. Discussions will be held on a wide range of topics relating to the language planning process in communities across the country.
The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Irish Language Acquisition outside of the Education System.’ The conference will provide an opportunity to examine the ways in which the Language Planning Process in Ireland can assist with the acquisition of the language, at all ages and levels of ability, outside of the education system.
The talks at the conference will be given in either Irish or English, with simultaneous translation available on the day.
