Cahersiveen is located in south County Kerry and has a population of 1,041 according to the most recent census. The town serves the Gaeltacht community of South Kerry.
Kerry County Council has been appointed as lead organisation for the language planning process along with the local language planning steering committe, Cathair Saidhbhín le Gaeilge.
