The town of Dungarvan is located in County Wateford and as a population of 9,227 according to the latest census. The town serves the community of Gaeltacht na Deise.
Dún Garbhán le Gaeilge was appointed as lead organisation for the language planning process in the town, an organisation made up of local organisations, representatives from the County Council, local schools and more. The Dungarvan language plan was approved in July 2022.
