Irish Language Support Schemes (Capital)
Community-based committees/organisations, that operate through Irish outside the Gaeltacht, may make an application under the department’s Irish Language Assistance Schemes. Funding can be provided to assist with the costs associated with building/repairing Irish language centres, purchasing buildings for use as Irish language centres, and/or purchasing equipment for such centres. The purpose of the capital assistance provided under this fund is the strengthening of Irish as a community and family language in accordance with the objectives of the Gaeltacht Act 2012 and the 20 Year Strategy for Irish 2010-2030. You can find more information on the scheme and download an application from here.
